National Sculpture Society – A Blessing of Animals

What and honor, Tim will be exhibiting the “River Mates” sculpture in the National Sculpture Society exhibition – A Blessing of Animals.
Opening on June 10, 2017. The Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine (Cathedral) is located on the upper west side of Manhattan, on an 11-acre urban oasis in Morningside Heights. The largest cathedral within the United States, the NYC landmark is also a cultural hub for the arts, hosting exhibitions, concerts and literary readings. This exhibition will be installed in the central nave, which measures 48 feet by 210 feet. An active house of worship, the cathedral is visited by hundreds of thousands of tourists from around the world each year and open to the public.
October, 2017 the exhibition will travel to Naples Botanical Garden (NBG), situated in Naples, Florida and remain on exhibit until January 31, 2018. The gardens were founded in 1993 and consists of 170 acres of cultivated gardens and preservation land, representing seven distinct natural habitats and ecosystems. To complement the variety of subtropical plant life, NBG has hosted frequent sculpture exhibitions throughout the grounds. Themed shows have covered everything from Legos to dinosaurs and in 2015, NBG exhibited the work of 32 members of National Sculpture Society in a special show, “All Creatures Great & Small”. Tim exhibited “Rabbit Reach” in 2015.
