Puma Poise

“The inspiration for “Puma Poise”, like other works, comes from many different places.“I have always been intrigued with cats, their many gestures and personalities. I start with a gesture or a line and build from there. My approach is strictly sculptural, the cougar or mountain lion, is one of my favorite subjects to work with as I feel they are one of nature’s most sculptural animals. I wanted to create a classical design that captured the strength and dignity of the big cat.

My goal when designing the hand forged table, was to repeat the horizontal lines and curves into the design of the table in order to combine a cohesive artwork.”
