This sculpture represents the beginning of a new day filled with optimism, curiosity and adventure.
I played with the design of this piece by directing the eye of the viewer starting dead center, making a loop around the chipmunk, out to the end of the branch, past the sun and back again. It is a design of balance and counter balance like the beginning of a new day.
