I wanted to use the wild mustang as the horsepower and energy powering the storm. The strong downdraft wind field is in front of the storm and as it moves away, the lightning and rain follow behind. The calm after the storm comes with its passing and the setting sun. I have never experienced wild and extreme weather like I have here in the Midwest.
RIDER OF THE STORM is also a metaphor for the personal storms we all face and work through, hopefully to a new day and a new beginning.
