I am intrigued with the beautiful round and flowing shapes of the
mallard drake. The fun and challenge of this piece was to stylize the feather groups and orchestrate all the lines and volumes to work and flow harmoniously together.
I choose this particular gesture for the design, as it is a more uncommon pose and gives the piece character and attitude.
