Evangel University Art Gallery to feature sculptor Tim Cherry’s “Arrangement of Shapes and Lines”

SPRINGFIELD, Missouri – The Evangel University Fine Arts & Design Gallery will feature “Arrangement of Shapes and Lines,” a collection of bronze wildlife sculptures by local artist Tim Cherry. The exhibit will open with an artist discussion on January 20 at 6:30 p.m., including a reception from 7-9 p.m., and will remain on display through March 10.

Admission is free, and the public is invited to tour the display.

Cherry, a native of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, has exhibited artwork in nationally known galleries across the United States, and his pieces have won several awards. He is a fellow of the National Sculpture Society and a member of both the National Sculptor’s Guild and the Society of Animal Artists.

“My work depicts wildlife through the simplest lines, shapes, and designs that I can create without losing representation, gesture, or attitude,” said Cherry. “I am constantly humbled by the awesome effects created in nature and the creatures I observe there. I continue to explore those inspirations through my art.”

Cherry resides in Branson, Missouri, with his wife, Linda, and daughter, Amber.
